Not every sale calls for the hammer.

Acting as agent for the seller, Philocale is authorised to arrange the private sale of a property, without public bidding—for those who prefer discretion to competition, or certainty to the uncertainties of the saleroom.

Private treaty sales may also follow an auction: should a lot remain unsold, it may be offered directly, at the right price, without further staging.
